 Thanks to the recent rise in popularity of donkeys in the small village of Castelbuono, the Salvatore Baggesi association offers lovely walks in the region, the gateway to the vast nature reserve of Madonie.

The tranquility of nature and the slow pace of the donkeys make this type of trip ideal for families with children, but who nevertheless want to make the most of the fantastic Sicilian landscape.

For children, it will be a great discovery to ride these good-natured

(but stubborn) animals. It is as enjoyable for them as it is for adults to mount them or guide them to the sound of 'caminaa'. :) so children have fewer arguments to complain about the long walk.

This type of trip takes a different form, at a slower pace, with no competitive edge.
It encourages the contemplation of nature and the surrounding landscape. All the donkeys are quiet, reliable and are used to walking for several hours.

Full day (from 9:00 to 16:00):

 (with picnic and barbecue included).

Half-day (4 hours): € 55.00 (with a picnic basket)

The price includes a guide, one donkey per person, insurance, preparation and training for the ride, children’s saddles (if required) and all the necessary equipment, a picnic area (except for the half-day options) with the possibility of a barbecue.
